On 11.6.2019, it was another wonderful opportunity
for me to make my seminar presentation at the MIT-WGS program at where I built
my new expertise field on women & gender in architecture at the HTC program
of the same institution. In my seminar presentation, I discussed some critical
issues on the recognition of “women & gender as Ph.D. author” within power
mechanisms and networks in academia and architecture. Our seminar title at the MIT-WGS: “Sapphic
Tales, Re-making Sappho through Comparative Media” offered by Dr. Vassiliki
Rapti. (https://www.gcws.mit.edu/new-events/sapphic-tales,
accessed on 11.11.2019). It was “a lab of radical thinking and cross-pollination
revolving around women & gender issues” by “rediscovering “Sappho” with a
multidisciplinary perspective.
