Jury comments: This project is very successful in responding to the environment, the site, and the neighborhood. The floor plan reflects the program, and the roof forms allow the building to adjust itself in order to direct water, change scales, and provide light as needed. The interesting use of materials, the careful detailing, and the presence of this building on its site result in a project that addresses sustainability and community, while creating a beautiful and memorable design."
